Six months. That is the amount of time I have lived in Haiti. It has been a very challenging six months yet very rewarding. The last two months have been very challenging and in some ways changed my views on life. Here in Haiti we have have been forced to say goodbye to our friend Pat Kaufman who went to be with our Lord after a tragic accident last month, that was a hard time for all of us and it is still hard to believe he is gone. Also back home a good friend Marcus Kauffman was  tragicly killed. These two deaths have weighed heavy on my mind these last months. Are we doing everything we can to glorify God in every moment we have life?
Here in Haiti we have been busy with the normal things that keep us busy excepting the Leadership Training Seminar in the mountains of Pays Pouri that happened earlier this month. We feel that God moved through us in that seminar. My time has been filled with vehicle maintanence, some woodworking and other random repairs.
On of the great stuggles for me is to take time to create and maintain relationships, its easier to to become completely occupied with all the little things that I could be doing instead of getting out and creating relationships, discipleing or even learning from the locals. Please pray that God would strengthen me in this area.
